Press Release Summary = A non-profit organization designed to help Americans with
sleep and sleep disorder issues issues a plea for individual and corporate

donations.

Press Release Body = PHILADELPHIA (March 6, 2006) -- Awake In America, a national
non-profit organization focused on sleep and sleep disorders, is seeking

financial donations to help bolster its programs.

The Philadelphia-based organization, launched in July 2004, is seeking individual
and corporate donations to help fund operations, as well as

two unparalleled programs -- the xPAP Donation and Relief Program and the Sleep
Study Relief Program. Both serve individuals lacking health

insurance and those without the financial resources to seek treatment. For more
information, visit

Awake In America, a preeminent source of support, assistance, information, and
outreach efforts, has operated on funding of less than $12,000

a year since its inception, and this year, corporate donations have yet to reach
$10,000.

Michele Narcavage, the organization\'s president, said, \"We\'re not one of the big
Washington, D.C.-based non-profit organizations with a large

staff, each receiving salaries of $30,000 or more per year. We\'re an entirely
volunteer-run organization, and everyone involved with Awake In

America is deeply committed to its mission. How many other organizations can make
that claim?\"

There are stark differences between large non-profits and Awake In America,
Narcavage said. \"We\'ve operated on less funding than many

non-profits use for petty cash annually,\" she said.

In spite of little funding, its president, Michele Narcavage, says the organization
presses forward, making a nationwide impact by assisting

individuals; helping others launch support groups around the country; working with
physicians and other health care providers; and

distributing information through e-mail and over Internet -- tools that have enabled
the organization to have an even greater impact. \"Many

are surprised by what we\'ve done on limited funding. Imagine what we could do with
adequate funding.\"

Narcavage noted Cephalon, maker of Provigal, is the organization\'s sole Founding
Sponsor, having donated $10,000 at Awake In America\'s

inception, as well as its largest annual donor. She noted ResMed donated $2,500 this
year, and that in 2004, Mallinckrodt donated $1,000, and

Hans-Rudolph donated $500.

\"During our relief efforts to help Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita victims, we
received $245 in cash donations, as well as many

equipment donations,\" Narcavage said. \"The equipment donations were essential to
operating the program, Operation Restore CPAP, which was

designed to replace equipment lost during the hurricanes. In the end, we directly
assisted 97 individuals by replacing their equipment.\"

Operation Restore CPAP was not inexpensive, and funds for shipping and related costs
came from Awake In America\'s operating funds.
